Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Application Engineer to join our Railways Business Unit. This role involves working closely with customers, project teams, and product specialists to ensure smooth integration, deployment, and support of our solutions such as:
- Distributed Power Wireless Communication Systems (DPWCS)
- Remote Monitoring & Control Systems (RMS/IoT platforms)
- Train Control & Monitoring Systems (TCMS)
The ideal candidate will have 34 years of experience in the Railway domain (preferred) or in industrial automation/control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical interface between customers, project managers, and product development teams.
- Understand customer requirements and prepare application-specific solutions, system configurations, and integration plans.
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing activities in collaboration with the field service team.
- Conduct system demonstrations, product presentations, and training sessions for clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues, escalating to engineering teams when required.
- Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and application notes.
- Work on customizations, adaptations, and validation testing for specific railway/automation projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
- Experience: 34 years in application engineering roles within Railways (preferred) or industrial automation domain.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, embedded electronics, PLC/DCS, or industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with railway electronics, signalling, or wireless communication systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Willingness to travel for customer support, demos, and project deployments.
