Job Description:
As an Application Engineer in the Automotive Aftermarket Division, you will leverage your technical expertise and customer-centric approach to demonstrate the value of innovative solutions. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, and product development teams to drive productivity, profitability, and application excellence across the automotive ecosystem.
Demonstrate the value of products, processes, and solutions to improve customer productivity and profitability
Deliver hands-on product demonstrations and technical training for customers, distributors, and internal teams
Support sales teams and end-users with application setup, troubleshooting, and optimization
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, key accounts, dealerships (AOEM and non-AOEM), and distributor partners
Drive customer intimacy through regular technical interactions, plant visits, and application reviews
Develop, negotiate, and validate customer-specific technical test specifications
Conduct field testing, product trials, and new product evaluations
Benchmark products against competitors and provide actionable insights
Identify customer needs and feed inputs into new product development and cost reduction programs
Create and deliver technical collateral, training modules, and application guides
Conduct large group training sessions (internal and external stakeholders)
Collaborate with product development teams to support innovation and cost optimization initiatives
Gather market intelligence and customer insights to drive continuous product and process improvement
Champion a culture of innovation by identifying new application opportunities
Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools
Fluency in Hindi and English (spoken and written)
Strong hands-on demonstration skills in collision repair and car care applications
Experience in automotive aftermarket, collision repair, automotive paint industry, or OEM manufacturing
Experience in application engineering, technical service, technical training, or technical sales
Familiarity with vehicle-level testing, calibration, or diagnostic equipment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment
