Key ResponsibilitiesWindchill Customization & Development
- Develop and enhance Windchill customizations using Java, Info.Engine, JSP, and Workflow extensions.
- Build and maintain customized UI components, validations, lifecycle behaviors, and objectspecific rules.
- Configure and extend PDMLink modules, Change Management, CAD Integration, and Classification.
- Implement business rules for attributes, lifecycle phases, naming rules, and product structure behavior.
Data Migration (Legacy Systems to Windchill)
- Lead endtoend migration activities including data mapping, transformation logic, validation, and loading.
- Develop custom migration utilities using Windchill APIs, loaders, and automation scripts.
- Ensure data accuracy, handle error logs, and perform iterative test-load cycles with UAT teams.
- Manage migrations from systems such as Agile PLM, local PDMs, and regional repositories.
Integration & CAD Support
- Support CAD-PLM integrations (Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.).
- Work with integration partners (e.g., XPLM, Infosys) to troubleshoot connector behavior and mapping issues.
- Support PD Cloud, ERP, and downstream system integrations as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years handson experience in PTC Windchill PDMLink development and customization.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, Info.Engine, XML, and related frameworks.
- Experience with largescale data migration, Windchill loaders (WGM, Creo WGM loaders, ESI, RV&S, etc.).
- Strong understanding of CAD data structures, BOM, ECN/ECO processes, and global engineering workflows.
- Experience working in multiregion or global transformation programs.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Windchill 12.x, ThingWorx Navigate, or REST Services.
- Knowledge of Oracle PD Cloud, ERP integrations, or ESI/Windchill-SAP interfaces.
- Scripting exposure (PowerShell, Python, Shell) for automation.
- Experience with China, APAC, or multiBU onboarding projects.
