We are seeking an independent, creative Application Developer to join our small, focused Business Intelligence and Automation team. This role is ideal for a versatile developer who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves learning new technologies, and wants to make a direct impact on business operations.

As our primary application developer, you'll build custom applications primarily in Domo while also working across other enterprise platforms like Salesforce and Azure. You'll have the autonomy to own projects end-to-end, leverage AI tools to accelerate development, and help shape our technical direction as we continue to grow our automation capabilities.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Develop and maintain custom applications using Domo's App Framework and React.js
  • Build data ingestion apps, interactive dashboards, and data applications within Domo
  • Create custom applications for other enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Azure) as business needs evolve
  • Design dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces that drive insights and improve efficiency
  • Work with Domo's DataSet APIs and other Domo APIs to integrate data flows
  • Collaborate with data teams to connect applications with various data sources
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services into custom applications
  • Manage deployment processes using GitHub and version control best practices
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application releases
  • Ensure applications are properly versioned, tested, and documented
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all custom applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Update and enhance existing applications based on user feedback and changing requirements
  • Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate development
  • Stay current with Domo platform updates and new features
  • Learn and adapt to new platforms and technologies as business needs emerge
  • Bring creative solutions to technical challenges

Requirements

What Skills You'll Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • Exceptional candidates with proven experience but without a degree will be considered
  • 4-6 years of professional web application development experience
  • Strong proficiency with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience building custom applications and working with APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end
  • Experience with version control (i.e. Git) and deployment processes
  • Solid understanding of front-end and back-end development concepts and best practices
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Comfortable learning new platforms and technologies independently
  • Self-directed and independent - You'll be the technical expert on the team with minimal technical oversight
  • Collaborative - Work effectively with a small team and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
  • Creative problem solver - Find innovative solutions to business challenges
  • Eager learner - Genuinely excited about exploring new tools, platforms, and technologies
  • Adaptable - Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a small team environment

How You'll Stand Out


  • Experience with the Domo platform, including Domo's App Framework and APIs
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms like Salesforce or Azure
  • Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate development
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and modern CSS frameworks
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
