Job Summary:
As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your day-to-day activities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that align with business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your area.
- Collaborate and manage the development team to perform effectively.
- Responsible for key team decisions and contributing to strategic decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Provide problem-solving solutions for both your immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead and mentor junior professionals in the team.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure that coding standards are consistently met.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe programming.
- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Cobol applications.
- Knowledge of DB2 databases and writing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language) and VSAM files.
Additional Information:
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe.
- This position is based in Nagpur.
- A 15 years full-time education is required.
