Job Description

job Summary:

The API Testing Professional is responsible for verifying the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of application programming interfaces (APIs). This role involves writing test cases, automating tests, and ensuring seamless integration between various systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop test plans and test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs
Perform manual and automated API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured
Validate request/response formats (JSON, XML) and ensure proper status codes
Test API performance under load and stress conditions
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team to ensure API quality
Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and issues
Report and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous integration cycles
