API Testing Professional

Fusion Plus Solutions is seeking a dedicated API Testing Professional to ensure the robust functionality, performance, and security of our application programming interfaces (APIs). You will play a critical role in validating that our APIs meet specified requirements and contribute to the overall quality and reliability of our software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive API test cases to validate the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of APIs.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of API responses, ensuring they align with specified requirements and data contracts.
• Debug API issues by analyzing logs and response data, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Implement and contribute to strategies for API security testing, ensuring sensitive information is protected and vulnerabilities are identified.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software testing, with a specific focus on API testing.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of API testing tools and techniques (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, Rest Assured).
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ for test automation and scripting.
• Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs, including request/response structures and status codes.
• Familiarity with data formats like JSON and XML.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with API test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating API tests.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with performance testing concepts for APIs.
