Job Description
AQM Technologies is hiring an experienced API Tester with strong hands-on exposure to testing REST and SOAP APIs. The candidate should be comfortable working in a client-facing, delivery-driven environment.
This is an immediate requirement. Only immediate joiners or candidates who can join on or before 20th January 2026 will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing of APIs
- Design and execute API test cases and test scenarios
- Validate API requests and responses (status codes, headers, payloads)
- Perform backend data validation using SQL queries
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools
- Work closely with developers, BA, and QA teams
- Ensure API quality, reliability, and compliance with client requirements
Required Skills
- 26 years of experience in API Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Postman / Swagger / SOAP UI
- Good understanding of REST & SOAP services
- Experience in SQL / Database testing
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies
- Good communication and analytical skills
Good to Have
- API automation exposure (Rest Assured / Karate)
- Basic knowledge of JMeter or performance testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science / IT or equivalent
