API QA (Embedded Automation Engineer)

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute API automation scripts using REST Assured or Karate frameworks.
• Perform API testing across REST endpoints (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
• Implement BDD frameworks using Cucumber, Gherkin syntax, and JUnit for automation.
• Work with Java/Python for test framework development and automation enhancement.
• Use GIT, JIRA, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines for version control and continuous integration.
• Validate API message schema, RAML/OAS specifications, JSON structures, and HTTP protocol behavior.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to in-sprint automation activities.
• Leverage cloud concepts (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, and Docker for test environment setup.
• Communicate automation status, issues, and improvements effectively across teams.
