We are looking for an experienced API Connect Developer to design, develop, and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of API lifecycle management, security policies, and integration with backend systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect.
- Configure and maintain the API Gateway and Developer Portal.
- Integrate APIs with backend systems such as databases, SOAP/REST services, and cloud services.
- Ensure API security through OAuth, JWT, API Keys, and other authentication methods.
- Manage the full API lifecycle: creation, deployment, versioning, and retirement.
- Work closely with architects, backend developers, and QA teams.
- Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and issues.
- Document API specifications using Open API/Swagger.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with IBM API Connect v10.x (preferred) or earlier versions.
- Document API specifications using Open API/Swagger.
- Proficiency in JSON, XML, YAML, and scripting (JavaScript, Node.js).
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other security protocols.
- Experience with backend integration (Databases, MQ, Web Services).
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with API analytics and monitoring tools.
