API Developer

Pradeepit Consulting Services is actively seeking a skilled API Developer to join our client's team. This pivotal role requires strong experience in Java J2EE development and deep expertise in various Web API technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and securing high-performance APIs, adhering to industry best practices, and integrating them across diverse systems.

Key Responsibilities

• API Development: Design and develop robust Web APIs including RESTful and SOAP services.
• Technology Stack: Work with various Web APIs technologies such as J2EE, Spring Boot, JSON, REST, Swagger, OpenAPI, SOAP, SMPP, MQ, XML/JSON, JWT, and WSDL. Utilize Eclipse as a development environment.
• Best Practices & Standards: Ensure API development follows best practices and industry standards (e.g., OpenAPI, TMforum).
• Secure API Building: Build secure APIs by adhering to security industry standards and protocols (e.g., OAuth2).
• Database & OS Interaction: Work with Oracle Databases, UNIX, and shell scripting.
• Build Tools: Utilize build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Microservices (Optional): Contribute to microservices solution development.
• API Management (Optional): Work with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee).
• Telecom Domain (Optional): Apply knowledge in the Telecom domain (e.g., EAI, OSS/BSS, SIEBEL).

Skills

• Strong experience in Java J2EE development.
• Proficiency in Web APIs technologies including:
• J2EE, Spring Boot
• JSON, REST, Swagger, OpenAPI, SOAP, SMPP, MQ, XML/JSON, JWT, WSDL
• Development with Eclipse.
• Hands-on experience in Web APIs development (RESTful, SOAP) with adherence to best practices and standards (OpenAPI, TMforum).
• Experience with Maven and Gradle build tools.
• Hands-on experience with building secure APIs following security industry standards and protocols (OAuth2).
• Experience with Oracle Databases, UNIX, and shell scripting.
• Experience in API management platforms (e.g., Apigee) is an added advantage.
• Experience on microservices solution development is an additional advantage.
• Knowledge in Telecom domain (e.g., EAI, OSS/BSS, SIEBEL) is optional.

Educational Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
