About The Role
We are hiring Backend Automation Test Engineers for the E-Commerce platform. The role focuses on API automation, backend validation, and ensuring high-quality releases across a large-scale microservices ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain API automation scripts using Java + Rest Assured.
- Validate REST API responses, schemas, and system-level integrations.
- Work with API tools such as Postman, Swagger, and version control (Git).
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and defect analysis.
- Perform data validation using Cassandra / SQL where required.
- Collaborate with backend teams, QA leads, and DevOps to triage issues.
- Support integration of automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Java, Rest Assured, and API automation frameworks.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and debugging techniques.
- Hands-on with TestNG/JUnit, Maven, Git, and Postman.
- Basic knowledge of databases (Cassandra or SQL).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in backend API automation (mandatory).
- Experience working in microservice-based systems (preferred).
