Inviting applications for the role of S2P - Data and Sourcing- Management Trainee
What will your day-to-day role involve
Responsibilities
Data Sourcing & Management:
Collecting, extracting, and consolidating spend data from diverse sources (e.g., ERP systems, purchasing platforms, P2P tools, invoice data).
Performing rigorous data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency for analysis and reporting.
Developing and maintaining robust data categorization schemes (e.g., UNSPSC, custom taxonomies) to enable granular analysis.
Advanced Spend Analysis:
Conducting in-depth analysis of spend patterns, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction, process efficiency, and supplier rationalization.
Performing %27Maverick Spend%27 analysis to identify off-contract purchases and enforce compliance.
Analyzing supplier performance, contract compliance, pricing discrepancies, and purchasing channel effectiveness.
Developing forecasts and models to predict future spend trends and potential savings.
Reporting & Visualization Development:
Designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of standard and custom spend reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
Translating complex data findings into clear, concise, and visually engaging reports for various stakeholders, including procurement, finance, and executive leadership.
Creating compelling data visualizations to highlight key insights, trends, and recommendations.
Ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and meet the specific needs of internal customers.
Strategic Support & Collaboration:
Collaborating closely with procurement teams to provide data-driven support for sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and category management initiatives.
Assisting in the definition, tracking, and reporting of cost savings initiatives and their financial impact.
Partnering with IT to optimize data infrastructure and ensure data accessibility for analytical purposes.
Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, fostering data literacy, and guiding strategic discussions.
Process Improvement & Governance:
Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance data collection, analysis methodologies, and reporting processes.
Developing and documenting best practices for spend data management, analysis, and reporting.
Ensuring data governance and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Qualifications
