AP Team Lead

Location: Noida, Onsite

Salary: between Rs. 62K to 65K monthly

Function: Accounting / Finance

We are looking for a hands-on Accounts Payable Lead to manage and strengthen our US Accounts Payable function. This role is ideal for a Senior Accounts Payable professional who is ready to take the next step into a Lead position, combining technical expertise with team coordination and process ownership.

Accounts Payable Operations

• Oversee end-to-end AP processes for US entities
• Review, code, and post vendor invoices with 2-way and 3-way matching
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of PO and non-PO invoices
• Manage weekly / bi-weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, wires)

Team Leadership

• Guide and support AP associates/senior accountants
• Review work for accuracy and compliance
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex AP issues
• Support training and process adherence

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage vendor onboarding and master data
• Handle vendor queries and dispute resolution
• Collect and validate W-9s
• Reconcile vendor statements regularly

Month-End & Close Activities

• Prepare AP accruals and reconciliations
• Reconcile AP sub-ledger to General Ledger
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Assist with internal and external audits

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and internal controls
• Support 1099 preparation and reporting
• Maintain SOX documentation and compliance
• Prepare AP aging and management reports

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve AP efficiency
• Support automation and system enhancements
• Maintain strong documentation of AP processes

• 58 years of experience in US Accounts Payable
• Currently in a Senior AP / Senior Accountant role
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, AP aging, accruals, and 1099s
• Experience working with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
