Senior Multimedia Engineer HAL & Linux Frameworks

Role Summary
Hiring a senior engineer with deep experience inAndroid multimedia HALs,codec pipelines, andcrosslayer debugging(Framework HAL Kernel Firmware).
Key Responsibilities
- Debug MediaCodec/Codec2, Camera HAL3, Audio HAL & pipeline issues.
- Investigate crashes, freezes, A/V desync, timestamp issues, underruns/overruns.
- Work across Android + Linux stacks: GStreamer (preferred), FFmpeg, ALSA/PipeWire.
- Handle complex buffer flow, DMA-BUF/ION issues, synchronization bugs.
- Collaborate with display teams for cross-subsystem multimedia problems.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong C/C++ and multi-layer debugging (logcat, dmesg, gdb, strace, Perfetto).
- Experience with hardware-accelerated codecs (H.264/H.265/AV1/VP9).
- Exposure to Display/Graphics debugging (strong preference).
- Bonus: Camera tuning (3A/HDR), audio processing (AEC/NS/AGC), CTS/VTS multimedia debugging.
