About Latinum:

Latinum is hiring for a client and is looking for an Android Middleware Engineer for our client with strong experience in C++, AOSP, Android Automotive/IVI, Middleware, and HAL/VHAL development. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and customizing middleware solutions for automotive infotainment and cockpit systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop C++-based middleware components for Android Automotive/IVI platforms.
• Work across AOSP, Android Framework, Middleware, HAL/VHAL, and system infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate components related to Multimedia, Audio, Bluetooth, Projection, Tuner, HMI, and Sensors.
• Implement and customize Android HIDL interfaces and HAL/VHAL.
• Work with Android boot sequence, startup/shutdown, fast boot, and framework architecture.
• Develop and debug inter-ECU and intra-ECU IPC communication.
• Work with IPCL and messaging/communication frameworks.
• Support development across Android, Linux, and QNX environments.
• Work with CMake, Gradle, Soong, and cross-compilation toolchains.
• Apply OOP, C++ design patterns, and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++.
• Perform debugging using tools such as ADB and manage code using Git.
• Contribute to automotive domains such as SOTA, Diagnostics, AUTOSAR, Audio/Multimedia, and Vehicle Integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in middleware development.
• Strong hands-on C++ programming experience.
• Experience with Android AOSP / Android Automotive / IVI / Cockpit systems.
• Hands-on experience with Middleware, HAL/VHAL, and HIDL.
• Strong understanding of IPC communication and automotive ECU communication.
• Knowledge of Android/Linux/QNX toolchains and build systems.
• Good understanding of OOP and C++ design patterns.
• Experience with Git and Android debugging tools such as ADB.
• Knowledge of MISRA C/C++ is preferred.

Education

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, or related engineering disciplines.
