A leader in the Media & Entertainment technology space building large-scale OTT and Smart TV streaming platforms. The engineering team delivers high-performance video playback, low-latency streaming, and scalable client applications for connected TVs and set-top boxes.
We are hiring a Senior Android Engineer (OTT/Smart TV) to own end-to-end Android TV and large-scale OTT app delivery for Bangalore on-site role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain high-performance Android TV and OTT applications with a focus on reliability, low-latency playback, and scalability.
- Integrate and optimise media stacks (ExoPlayer, adaptive streaming HLS/DASH), DRM, and platform-specific playback features across multiple TV OS targets.
- Collaborate with backend, QA and product teams to define streaming specs, telemetry, error-handling and ABR strategies for live and VOD content.
- Drive performance tuning and memory/network profiling to reduce startup time, rebuffering, and battery/CPU impact on constrained devices.
- Implement test automation, CI/CD flows, and release processes to ensure repeatable delivery to device farms and app stores.
- Mentor peers, document architectures and help define engineering best practices for TV/OTT client development.

- Available to work on-site in Bangalore and participate in device testing and release activities.

- Widevine DRM integration
- Kotlin Coroutines
- Fastlane or Jenkins for mobile CI/CD
