Walk Reward is a health-tech and wellness platform designed to make walking and staying active fun, social, and rewarding. Users track their steps, distance, and calories, earn Walk Coins, participate in challenges, and redeem rewards all through an engaging, gamified mobile experience.
We are looking for a talented mobile developer to help bring our vision to life on both Android and iOS platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Walk Reward mobile app for Android and iOS.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement smooth, user-friendly UI/UX.
- Integrate fitness tracking APIs (Google Fit, Apple HealthKit) to track steps, distance, and calories.
- Implement gamification features such as challenges, leaderboards, and in-app rewards.
- Work on backend integration (APIs, cloud database) for user accounts, coins, and reward redemption.
- Ensure app performance, security, and responsiveness across devices.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, optimizing app for scalability and reliability.
- Stay updated with latest mobile development trends, libraries, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development.
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks (Flutter/React Native).
- Familiarity with Google Fit API, Apple HealthKit, or other health tracking integrations.
- Knowledge of push notifications, in-app purchases, gamification features, and reward systems.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and cloud services (Firebase, AWS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles for mobile apps.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience building apps with social/community features.
- Knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics) to track user behavior.
- Prior experience in health, fitness, or gamified apps.
