Android Developer I

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Android Applications:

• Architect, build, and maintain Android applications for CashKaro and EarnKaro.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Code Reviews and Mentorship:

• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Performance Optimization:

• Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application efficiency.

Stay Updated with Industry Trends:

• Keep up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and techniques.
• Implement best practices in mobile development to ensure the apps are cutting-edge.

Must-Have Skills:

1. Proficiency in Kotlin and Java:

o Strong experience in developing Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

o Must be working on well established Android Apps where there is large scale usage of the App

2. Strong Experience with Android SDK and Android Frameworks:

o In-depth understanding of the Android SDK and experience with various Android frameworks and libraries.

3. Deployment to PlayStore

1. Should be very confidence in deploying the App to PlayStore and other Playstore like Galaxy etc

4. Experience with RESTful APIs and Integration:

o Expertise in integrating Android applications with RESTful APIs.

5. SDK Integration Experience with Third Parties and Events Setup

1. Should have an understanding on how to integrate with Clevertap, AppsFlyer, Branch etc

2. Should have strong experience is setting up events across the app for performance optimization and analytics for tech and marketing teams. Eg banner scroll events, scroll depth monitoring, etc

6. Version Control with Git:

• Proficiency in using Git for version control in a collaborative environment.

7. Strong Control over Firebase and Firebase Remote Config

• Should have a very strong handle on using Firebase for Analytics, Crash Analytics
• Should have experience on Firebase Remote Config

8. Continuous Learning and Upskilling:

• Description: Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends in Android development and continuously improving your skill set.

Good to Have Skills:

1. CI/CD Integration:

• Knowledge of integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, etc At the least should be aware of this and how it works, even if not hands-on.

2. UI/UX Design Principles:

• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and experience in implementing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.

3. Additional Knowledge Areas:

• SQL (rate on SQL)

App security and how it is exploited

4. Understanding of Testing and Debugging:

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust and reliable code.
• Debug and resolve issues, improving overall app stability and user experience
