About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic Android team at Cricbuzz.com, based in Bengaluru. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the next generation of Cricbuzz's mobile applications, contributing to innovative features and enhancements that reach millions of cricket fans worldwide. As part of a collaborative, cross-functional team comprising engineers, product managers, and designers, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying high-quality features that elevate the user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kotlin development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for cricket and technology. This position requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities, mentoring junior team members, and staying abreast of the latest Android ecosystem developments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Android development, with proven expertise in building and maintaining production-level applications. Proficiency in Kotlin is essential, along with a solid understanding of MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) architecture. Experience with Jetpack components to craft rich, interactive user interfaces is highly desirable. Familiarity with UI integration testing and automation methods is important to ensure high-quality releases. A strong sense of design, attention to detail, and the ability to document and maintain architecture diagrams, APIs, and design patterns are critical. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage their schedules effectively, and meet project deadlines. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to develop, test, and deploy new features for the Cricbuzz app.
- Take ownership of product features from conceptualization through to deployment, including architecture design, networking, data storage, UI views, animations, and overall user experience.
- Work closely with the core engineering team to define and refine view models and APIs that support app functionalities.
- Stay updated on the latest Android ecosystem developments and advise the product management and design teams accordingly.
- Mentor junior Android team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Ensure the app maintains high standards of quality, performance, and security through rigorous testing and code reviews.
