We are looking for a passionate Jr. Android Developer to design, build and maintain the Android version of our product. A person who has an in depth understanding of the Android platform, its features, and functionality. They may have expertise in developing apps using the Android SDK and other
related tools.
If you're passionate about mobile platforms and translating code into user friendly apps, we would like to meet you. As a Mobile developer, you'll collaborate
with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new features for Android applications using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with cross-team UI/UX designers, Product manager, Developers and QA to create visually appealing and intuitive apps.
- Write and review unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure application performance and stability.
- Work closely with senior developers to enhance your skills and contribute to the success of the team.
- Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
- Must have very strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Produce clean, well-documented code and maintain internal engine builds, using
- Perforce and other tools to distribute builds to the team.
Requirements
- B.Tech/B.E degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and a solid understanding of Android app development.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of third-party libraries & SDK.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Passion for learning and staying current with industry trends.
- Experienced in handling both legacy code and greenfield development and can make technical recommendations based on the needs of the project
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, threading/concurrency, unit testing, and MVVM/BLOC design
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems preferably GIT.
- Experience in building Android SDK is a plus
