Job Description

Join the Consumer & Community Banking Finance Data & Insights team to transform Home Lending finance through data-promoten insights. You'll analyze mortgage finance data to uncover trends, build dashboards and intelligence solutions, and automate manual processes using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot. Partner with stakeholders across the organization, support ad hoc data requests, and continuously learn new technologies to deliver actionable insights and measurable value.

As an Analytics Solutions Associate within the Finance Data and Insights Team, you will help to promote innovation and shape the future of mortgage financial insights!. Your insights will help shape the future of home lending finance. Our mission is to empower our people and deliver value to the firm by harnessing the power of data, advanced analytics, and the latest technology. You'll dive into home lending financial data to uncover trends, generate insights, and support strategic initiatives. You'll have an opportunity to use your analytical skills to build compelling dashboards and intelligence solutions that help drive business decisions as well as identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and implement automation tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot. You will also partner with stakeholders across the organization, respond to ad hoc data requests, and continuously learn new technologies.


Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of dashboards and analytics using Tableau, Alteryx, ThoughtSpot, and SQL, providing actionable insights for senior management and key stakeholders within the line of business.
  • Create and refine Alteryx workflows to gather data from diverse sources, summarize information based on stakeholder requirements, and ensure data is sourced from authoritative systems following best practices.
  • Develop and enhance intuitive visualizations in Tableau and ThoughtSpot, enabling stakeholders to easily interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Conduct comprehensive validation of all solution components, verifying that data and visualizations accurately reflect insights and supporting robust control processes.
  • Participate in testing and meetings related to server upgrades, data source changes, and other technology enhancements to maintain seamless data integration.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring team members to build their proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Overall experience of minimum 6 years with 4+ years of experience delivering data analytics projects and developing advanced data visualizations and presentations, with a strong expertise in Tableau & SQL
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data preparation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or similar platforms
  • Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses
  • Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data
  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
  • Proven ability to interpret data within its business context, identifying opportunities and insights that drive value beyond the numbers.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a track record of thought leadership and achieving results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
