Overview
We are seeking a Real Estate Data Analyst to join our Global Real Estate platform in Mumbai, where you will help drive accuracy and efficiency in how we manage and report data across our real estate investments globally. By enhancing our reporting processes and ensuring data integrity, you'll directly contribute to better-informed decision-making, from fund management to investor relations. Your work will support senior leadership with critical insights into market exposure, fund performance, and strategic planning, ultimately helping the business stay ahead in a competitive real estate landscape. Your contributions will be vital in streamlining operations, ensuring we meet deadlines, and providing the data needed for future growth and fundraising efforts.
- Enhance the real estate team's reporting function by modernizing reports through consistent data validation, governance, and data integrity across systems like Anaplan, PowerBI, and Excel/PDF, ultimately improving accuracy and streamlining processes, including validation of fund structures, contributions, and deployment strategies with a focus on LP and GP contributions throughout fund lifecycle
- Review and interpret deal-level and investment data, collaboration with cross-functional team to provide valuable insights into our equity investments portfolio performance globally.
- Assist in the preparation and swift delivery of all quarterly reports, including fund and holdings packages, recurring investor reports, and uploading data into various systems to meet all deadlines.
- Extract and organize relevant portfolio data from investment memos, case studies, and other sources, ensuring that it is accurately captured in databases across all real estate funds.
- Gather and validate data from investment updates at the end of each quarter to ensure quarterly talking points are accurate and up to date for senior leadership and investor communication.
- Support investor reporting and prepare data for future fundraising efforts.
- Conduct market research and data analysis for specific inquiries, such as exposure to particular markets (e.g., evaluating exposure in Spain against the market).
- Cleaning, enriching, and organizing data, including gathering IC memos and creating structured databases
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of professional experience in real estate, private equity, alternative funds, or private markets (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and the ability to perform detailed data validation and analysis
- Solid quantitative skills with a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Ability to work with large datasets and efficiently organize data for reporting
- Experience in real estate or fund management is preferred but not required; background in FP&A, fund accounting, or investor relations is highly beneficial
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for process improvement
- Ability to create and organize reports for senior management, investor reporting, and fundraising
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, team members, and external counterparties
