Enterprise Data and Analytics team comprises of Fidelity's MI and Analytics capability team in India and is a strategic area targeted for growth over the coming years. The portfolio of projects will include a large collection of strategic initiatives as well as tactical ones to support day-to-day operations and strengthen the environment by providing the insights required.The team helps deriving the value from the data.

This role is for a Analyst Programmer who can understand functional, technical requirements and has the ability to understand the implications associated with the chosen technical strategy well aligned with the business context. The successful candidate would carry out reporting/visualization development/enhancement and work with a high performing team in an individual contributor role to implement BI and Analytical solutions. The successful candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technical community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand functional requirements, perform feasibility analysis, estimate effort, and propose suitable technical solutions or prototypes.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive, insights-driven dashboards and visualizations primarily using Tableau Desktop. Knowledge of Power BI Desktop is an added advantage.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries perform unit testing and troubleshoot data or reporting issues effectively.
  • Work with Tableau Online/Tableau Server for publishing, scheduling, user access management, and content governance.
  • Design and implement row-level and data-level security to ensure secure and personalized data access.
  • Coordinate with the ETL/Data Engineering team by providing inputs for designing highperforming data models essential for optimal dashboard performance.
  • Monitor and improve dashboard performance perform platform auditing and usage analysis.
  • Prepare deployment/implementation plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to move code and assets across environments.
  • Integrate Tableau with various data sources such as relational databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud data platforms.

Essential Skills are:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience delivering endtoend projects in data visualization and reporting.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Tableau Desktop, with direct ownership of dashboard development and implementation.
  • Strong expertise in creating diverse visualizations including line charts, pie charts, histograms, maps, scatter plots, bubble charts, heat maps, waterfall charts, treemaps, and custom visuals.

  • Proficiency in writing advanced Tableau calculations such as Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, table calculations, timeseries calculations, and nested calculations.
  • Solid understanding of various Tableau functionalities including filters, hierarchies, sorting, parameters, custom groups, sets, actions, and interactivity features.
  • Exposure to Tableau Server / Tableau Online for administrative tasks such as managing projects, workbooks, data sources, user groups, security, subscriptions, scheduling, and alerts.
  • Experience connecting Tableau to multiple data sources (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, Hadoop, SQL Server, Excel, CSV) using both live connections and extracts.
  • Experience in data preparation and transformation within Tableau-joins, custom SQL, unions, and blending data from disparate sources.
  • Strong capability in writing custom SQL queries (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server) for pulling and transforming data used in dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices, layout design, and selection of appropriate visual elements for storytelling.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively in alignment with project timelines and shifting priorities.
  • Educational qualification: B.Tech, MCA, MBA, or equivalent degree in a relevant field from a reputed institute.
