Role Description

The Analyst - Production Planning & Control (PPC) will be responsible for end-to-end production and supply planning to ensure timely availability of materials, optimized inventory levels, and adherence to manufacturing schedules. The role plays a critical link between sales, procurement, production, supply chain and logistics to balance demand, capacity, and supply.

The role will drive planning discipline, forecast accuracy, and execution rigor to support Kimbal's growing manufacturing and deployment operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage production plans, material plans, and dispatch schedules aligned with demand forecasts
  • Convert sales forecasts and customer orders into monthly, weekly, and daily production plans
  • Monitor capacity planning, line loading, and bottleneck management
  • Coordinate with procurement for material availability, lead times, and inventory optimization
  • Track production progress and ensure adherence to plan; flag risks and slippages proactively
  • Manage inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG) to balance service levels and working capital
  • Drive MRP planning and ensure system accuracy in SAP / ERP
  • Coordinate with quality, manufacturing, and logistics teams for smooth execution
  • Prepare planning MIS, dashboards, and management reports
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning accuracy and cycle times

  • Balancing fluctuating demand with manufacturing capacity constraints
  • Reducing inventory while maintaining high service levels

  • Production plan adherence and on-time delivery
  • Inventory turns and reduction in excess / obsolete inventory
  • Forecast accuracy and MRP effectiveness

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production)

Experience

  • 410 years of experience in production planning, PPC, or supply chain planning roles
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (electronics, electrical, utilities, energy, or industrial products preferred)

Functional & Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of PPC, MRP, and capacity planning concepts
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (PP / MM / SCM modules) or equivalent ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret demand and supply data
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for planning, tracking, and analysis
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, and lead time management
  • Good coordination and stakeholder management skills
