About Global Supply Management

Global Supply Management (GSM) is responsible for partnering with AMEX colleagues to optimize their third party spend. We provide strategic consultation to the business and provide end to end procurement services. We maximize the purchasing power of the Company to drive the best value from our supplier base which then frees up investment capacity for the Enterprise. GSM, together with our business partners, manages the supplier strategy for the Company: identifying and on-boarding new third-party suppliers, realizing significant cost savings, mitigating risk, and generating value through collaboration with GCS and GMNS.

How will you make an impact in this role

The Source to Contract Analyst will support our business partners in engaging third parties, from intake and understanding of business requirements through contract execution within a regulatory framework. This role will be responsible for sourcing and contracting Management Consulting and Other Professional Services, in alignment with category plans. The role is expected to drive value and mitigate risk, while supporting our customers with speed to market. The role will also be responsible for ad hoc activities that may include spend analysis, reporting, benchmarking, cost benefit analysis and value measurement.

TheSource to Contract Analyst will build and maintain stakeholder relationships with the business, across peer groups, and with contract stakeholders including General Counsel and Third Party Lifecycle Management, in multiple markets.

Responsibilities will, at a high level,

  • Support the business in engaging consulting services in a timely manner, driving value and mitigating risk, leading processes from sourcing through contract execution.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable source on GSM processes and Amex policies for customers and colleagues.

.Contribute to team's performance on key goals and metrics, including saves/value, B2B penetration, Time to Market (TTM), etc. and document in tools.

  • Support the business with sourcing, including supplier assessments and selections through competitive RFx activities.

  • Lead contracting process, including template selection, drafting, negotiating, and executing agreements review and manage the redlining of contracts using toolkits and defined escalation paths.

  • Perform contract analysis as needed and advise Strategic Sourcing and Category managers on key contract considerations during sourcing process identify risks, constraints, and opportunities.

  • Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements or contract standards coordinate approval process and sign off through to compliant contract execution.

  • Seek opportunities to increase value for the business, whether through cost saves, contractual terms that drive value, process efficiencies, speed to market, risk mitigation, or other innovative means to drive competitive value for Amex.

  • Maintain a risk mindset and assess all engagements through a risk lens. Advise business partners on potential risks and take steps to mitigate any risks to the company alert relevant stakeholders and SMEs to potential third party and contractual risks.

  • Ensure that contracts, supporting documents and contract metadata are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.

  • Provide proactive, clear, and regular status updates to Sourcing and Category managers and Business Partners.

  • May act as a point of contact for select business partners.

  • Develop CBAs and support the value measurement process through cost save validation.

  • Perform ad hoc financial or other analysis on internal and external data as needed contribute to reporting and presentations for business customers and GSM stakeholders as needed.

  • Maintain and promote the Blue Box Values by ensuring that work is completed to the highest professional, legal, and regulatory standards, and that the activities subject to review/procurement comply with the Company's stated business ethics.

  • Embrace new tools, GEN AI and other opportunities to innovate and transform the way we work and deliver for the customer to create value and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

  • Positive, can do attitude ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, and at times unstructured environment, maintaining flexibility to meet the changing needs of the customers, business units and organization.

  • Strong project management discipline, and experience managing complex projects from ideation through to execution.

  • Proven track record of data analysis to develop insights and recommendations, solve business challenges, improve customer experience and bottom-line results.

  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and organizational skillsability to communicate professionally with executive level stakeholders.

  • Experience working on cross-functional and/or global teams and ability to demonstrate a collaborative mindset.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience with Ariba, Conga and Service Now is a plus.

  • Understanding of contracting/procurement/sourcing functionexperience in third party risk management is a plus.

  • B.S. / B. A.required additional relevant qualifications a plus.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience is required.
