The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct process mapping, data analysis, and timemotion studies to identify waste, variation, and bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methods.
- Define standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control plans to ensure repeatable, high-quality outcomes.
- Design experiments and apply root-cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone) to solve complex issues.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, safety, IT, and finance to pilot, validate, and scale improvements.
- Build dashboards and KPIs to monitor throughput, yield, cycle time, and cost; recommend corrective actions based on trends.
- Lead or support automation and digitization projects (e.g., workflow automation, MES/ERP/BPM systems) to streamline processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Train stakeholders on new processes and change management to sustain improvements.
Expected Outcomes
- Deliver baseline process capabilityand throughput
- Implement at least 23 targeted improvements reducing cycle time, defects, or cost by agreed thresholds.
- Establish SOPs, KPIs, and dashboards for ongoing monitoring and governance.
Qualifications
- 37 years of experience in process engineering, operations excellence, or continuous improvement roles.
- Proficiency with Lean/Six Sigma tools; Green Belt preferred (Black Belt a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with statistical analysis (SPC, regression, DOE) and practical problem-solving.
- Experience with process mapping tools and data tools (Excel/Power BI/Tableau; SQL is a plus).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without authority.
