As a Payroll Associate in our Bangalore-based HR Shared Services Center, you'll be an integral part of delivering an exceptional HR customer experience. Your main responsibilities as part of the payroll team are work collaboratively with AtkinsRéalis regional teams to deliver an effective and efficient Payroll service to all managers and employees. Ensuring continuous improvement in our service delivery. Taking a pro-active approach to leading change as well as responding to business requirements.
The Payroll Associate is responsible for payroll activities for all regions, Support streamlining the process, understand the payroll elements & support the HR team in running the payroll monthly cycles
The Analyst will also be responsible for doing Pre payroll checks, controls, post payroll analysis, workday reports assessment with respect to payroll elements etc.
Your role
Payroll processing and streamlining for supporting region
Ensuring the pre-payroll processing tasks are completed, the payrolls are run, and the post processing tasks completed, all in a timely, accurate and compliant manner including the submission and retrieval of files to legal entities.
Understanding the payroll elements and establishing a connect with the finance to report all the payroll and financial activities
Assess allowances, payroll data for employees, regional expenses
Help ensure that all internal and external audit requirements are met.
Participate in all HR change programmes that have a direct impact on Payroll, including any testing and implementation of required changes to Payroll processes
Investigate new initiatives where efficiency and customer experience can be improved across systems, processes, and ways of working.
Build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders of Payroll.
Keep personal knowledge up to date through external networking and attending conferences bringing back leading edge and innovative Payroll thinking and sharing this with the team and HR Leadership. Communicating throughout the Payroll team, broader HR and the business all changes to statutory and legislative requirements.
Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies
Analyse compensation-related data including Salary and bonuses
Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
Report to management on payroll issues and changes
Support employees on questions about Payroll related matter.
Ensuring thorough understanding of business areas supported to determine specific business requirements.
Analyzes processes to support both automated and manual workflow, including recommending ideation that can enhance the effectiveness of the process.
About you
Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate or equivalent in finance /HR/Payroll
2-4 years experience as a functional analyst supporting operational delivery
A minimum of 2 years experience in a computerized payroll environment
Significant experience in payroll activities for UK, Middle East or APAC payroll
Understanding of Workday/ Oracle /JDE systems
Understanding of payroll reports and payroll elements for India region
Significant demonstrable success in a Associate role, with working experience in HR shared service/onshore service delivery model.
Good understanding and experience of working with Payroll systems
Experience of delivering operational delivery.
Experience of reviewing systems, processes, data and people and making recommendations for change to ensure continual service improvement.
Experience of working within an in-house and service provider Payroll environment.
Accurate and detail-orientated, Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are a must.
Possesses good communication & customer service skills & enjoys working with people.
Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to see problems through to resolution.

Relationship management skills working with partner/service providers internally and externally.
Experience of coaching and mentoring team members.
Proven experience of advising and supporting internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of reviewing systems, processes, data and people and making recommendations for change to ensure continual service improvement.
Experience of measuring and reporting on customer satisfaction and KPI/SLA achievement using outputs to drive change decisions. With experience of handling escalations and non-compliance.
Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations.
Familiarity using Excel and spreadsheets.
The ability to work under tight deadlines.
