What You'll Do
The principle role of Analyst - Materials (Inventory Management) is to work independently with specified networks to optimise inventory, reduce slow moving ( E&O) & improve DOH & cutomer service by,
- Ensuring that planning data (policies and parameters) on the ERP system are accurate and continuously adapted to current scenarios define monthly KPIs for tracking the progress
- Provide analytical and decision-making support to optimize inventory across networks
- Monitor Kinaxis inventory projections & targets to identify areas where we may be overbuilding
- Maintain supplier and inventory planning master data
- Work with demand / forecast to look for seasonality of products to ensure the right planning parameters
Roles & Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for setting inventory parameters for finished goods in DC's (Distribution Centers) and raw materials/sub assemblies in plants in our core systems including SAP,MFG pro, Oracle, Kinaxis etc. (ROP, SS, Min/Max etc.)
- Maintains product segmentation / assortment for inventory planning purposes
- Monitors DC and plant service levels and the impact of adjusting safety stock and other parameters
- Monitor current and projected inventory levels across the network vs financial targets and inventory entitlement, identifying reasons for deviation and suggesting corrective actions
- Simulates the impacts of inventory policy changes on total inventory levels across networks
- Monitors and drives improvement in inventory performance metrics
- Coordinates approval of inventory policy changes
- Provides planning decision making support to Network Planners and Network Schedulers
- Prepares data-driven inventory target levels( water tank execution)
- Evaluates exceptions/scenarios in inventory based on inventory health & take actions to improve inventory health
- Monitors and maintains inventory related master data parameters
- E&O/Slow moving inventory tracking and actions for improvement
- MIS reporting Daily Inventory & receipts, Tier 4 metrics (Leading indicators), >8 weeks inventory analysis, Non nettable inventory, E&O, ageing, DOH, water tank etc
- Responsible for sharing with the team, best materials management practices, continuous improvement of process & development of process standards.
- Demonstrate strong functional knowledge & working experience related to materials management & detailed understanding of concepts related to supply planning, replenishment planning, PFEP,material planning & inventory performance measures like ITR & DOH
- Excellent communication, presentation skills &demonstrated experience of working on projects with stakeholders from different geographies
Qualifications
Graduate / Preferably Post Graduate especially MBA (Operations) with 4 to 7 years of relevant experience related to Inventory Management, Material Planning & supply chain management in global environments
4 to 7 years
Skills
CPIM or PMP certification will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of SIOP, Material planning,Inventory Mgt, MRP & demand / supply challenges
- Proficiet skills level in MS Office: Advanced Excel and Power Point presentations.
- Proficient and good hands on exposure on ERP (Preferred SAP)
- Preferred exposure into Power BI, SQL and PowerBI query building.
- Technology Savyness (Knowledge of Kinaxis RR will be an added advantage)
