Role Description
The Field Sales Analyst will be responsible for analysing the performance of field sales executives (Medical Representatives), tracking key sales metrics, generating actionable insights, and supporting the sales leadership team in improving productivity and market coverage. The role will help drive data-driven decision making across the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance Monitoring
Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance of Field Sales Executives / Medical Representatives.
Monitor achievement vs targets across territory, region, and product portfolio.
Identify underperforming territories, products, or representatives.
2. Data Analysis & Insights
Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities, trends, and gaps.
Provide insights on doctor coverage, prescription generation, and territory productivity.
Evaluate ROI of promotional activities and field visits.
3. Reporting & Dashboards
Prepare and circulate sales dashboards and performance reports for management.
Maintain reports such as:
Territory sales reports
Product performance reports
Regional productivity reports
Doctor coverage analysis
Develop automated dashboards using Excel / BI tools.
4. Field Activity Analysis
Track field activities including:
Doctor calls per day
Call quality and frequency
Coverage of key opinion leaders (KOLs)
Ensure adherence to call planning and coverage strategy.
5. Sales Strategy Support
Support management in territory planning, target setting, and resource allocation.
Assist in identifying high-potential doctors and growth markets.
Provide recommendations to improve field productivity and sales conversion.
6. CRM & Data Management
Maintain and analyse CRM / field force reporting systems.
Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting from field teams.
Work with IT or CRM teams to improve data capture and reporting processes.
7. Competitive Intelligence
Track competitor activities in the field.
Provide insights into market trends, competitor prescriptions, and promotional strategies.
Education
MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Pharma Management, or Analytics
B.Pharm / Life Sciences background preferred
Experience 0-3 years
