Job Description:

Oversee and coordinate both contracted and non-contracted pricing for Medline customers, specifically for distributed products. This role involves comprehensive communication regarding all pricing aspects. It also includes managing expectations around price changes related to contracts or non-contracted pricing. This position also requires maintaining daily customer relationships. Acting as a bridge between vendors and sales representatives (such as DSMs, PVAs, etc.) and addressing pricing expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage customer pricing requests from initiation through completion. Analyze, research and resolve pricing issues submitted by customers, Dedicated Service Managers (DSM) and sales representatives.
  • Confirm pricing eligibility with appropriate Vendors, update the system and communicate relevant information to the requestors.
  • Coordinate with Medline sales reps, vendors and internal teams such as Vendor Contracts, Vendor Price Listing, and Vendor Operations for pricing requests, discrepancies or questions.
  • Perform weekly Price Change Notifications (PCN) audits to ensure accuracy and communicate changes to customers.
  • Analyze pricing requests by various methods such as verification of Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) rosters, Vendor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files and Pricing Portals. This involves diligent cross-checking to ensure data accuracy.
  • Processing of pricing request requires understanding of markup approval hierarchy, contract ranking and pricing hierarchy as per customer types.
  • Handling price match file for pharma items which includes research and analysis of competitor pricing along with market trends to increase profitability and to attract the customers.
  • Able to understand and utilize different pricing tools, applications such as SAP Vistex, Smart Quote, Dart, Zendesk etc.
  • To ensure prompt email turnaround is maintained through the inboxes according to task priority.
  • Able to handle and process large amount of data in excel efficiently and accurately
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to support the day to day responsibilities of the Pricing Department

Must Have

  • A graduate degree.
  • Proficiency in basic Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, cell formatting, and data filtering.
  • Ability to process information accurately, assess priorities, and draw clear, concise conclusions.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, organize, track details, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring service standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external resources to achieve departmental goals within established timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to handle high volumes of requests during peak periods.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • A proactive team player who is self-motivated and hardworking.

Good to Have

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Educational background or knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences (B. Pharm or M. Pharm).
  • Prior experience in contracting and pricing, with familiarity in SAP Vistex and Zendesk preferred.

10.30 am to 7.30 pm daylight saving

11.30 am to 8.30 pm non daylight saving
