About The Team

The Modeling and Analytics plays an integral role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring credit risk models that maintains the strength of our loan portfolios, which include sectors such as Commercial & Industry (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Equipment Finance (EF), Mortgages, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), Credit Cards, and Auto loans. The Modeling and Analytics team operates within the first line of defense, serving as a critical bridge between risk management and the business.
Impact
This role directly supports the accuracy, reliability, and readiness of regulatory and financial models by enhancing automation, improving testing rigor, and streamlining model execution workflows. The work enables faster delivery, fewer production issues, and stronger compliance, ultimately contributing to better decision-making and regulatory confidence.
Key Deliverables (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Model Implementation Support model execution for CCAR stress testing and scenario analysis to assess model performance under varying economic conditions. Assist in preparing required documentation for second-line risk review.
- Participate in Python based development, integration, and testing activities for financial models and financial reporting code.
- Design and deliver efficient, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to support Python model implementation and validation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and support prioritization of development activities and backlog items.
- Business Support Provide day-to-day production and operational support for assigned systems, models, and business processes.
- Process Improvement Identify enhancement opportunities across existing processes, documentation, workflows, and controls to strengthen efficiency, compliance, and alignment with regulatory expectations
Skills And Qualification
Functional Skills:
- Sound understanding of Financial & Statistical concepts and experience with quantitative analysis
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Technical/Business Skills
- 2+ years of experience working in an Information Technology field supporting Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or other data-intensive area
- Experience with Cloud Engineering Tools (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud Platform/GCP, Amazon Web Services/AWS)
Qualification / Experience
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Information Sciences or any quantitative field or MBA in Finance
- Certifications like CFA or FRM will be desirable
- Advanced proficiency in Python
