Role Description The Analog Layout Engineer - Senior role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing analog and mixed-signal layout for complex ICs, ensuring adherence to design specifications, performance targets, and foundry design rules. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with circuit design engineers, creating floorplans, performing device placement and routing, and conducting layout-versus-schematic (LVS) and design rule check (DRC) verification. The engineer will review and refine layouts for matching, noise, IR drop, and electromigration, while supporting tape-out activities and layout sign-off. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to layout methodology improvements, and working with cross-functional teams to meet project schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Layout Design and Custom Layout for analog and mixed-signal blocks, including floorplanning, device placement, and routing.
• Solid understanding of Circuit Design, Analog design principles, and Analog Circuits, with the ability to interpret schematics and translate them into robust layouts.
• Hands-on experience with Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, ERC, and reliability checks across multiple technology nodes.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor/Siemens, Synopsys tools) and familiarity with foundry PDKs.
• Demonstrated experience working on advanced and mature technology nodes (e.g., 65nm to 7nm and below) and high-volume production designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
