Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Layout Engineer with strong expertise in analog/mixedsignal (AMS) layout, capable of independently driving complex block and top-level deliveries. The ideal candidate will bring handson technical depth along with the ability to guide, mentor, and manage small layout teams. This is not a TSMCspecific requirement; experience in TSMC or lowernode processes isnot mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute complex AMS/analog layout blocks and top-level integration with minimal supervision.
- Lead and mentor a small team of layout engineersassist with planning, reviews, and technical guidance.
- Work with technical leads on hierarchical/custom layout strategy, floorplanning, and execution.
- Ensure quality, convergence, and schedule adherence across assigned blocks and team deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with design, verification, physical design, and methodology teams.
- Review and validate constraints, checks, and flows as per Micron layout methodology.
- Drive best practices, design reusability, and layout efficiency improvements.
- Take ownership of endtoend execution, from planning through final signoff (DRC/LVS/ANT/DFM).
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- 510 years of handson experience in AMS/Analog layout engineering.
- Proven expertise in:
- Cadence Virtuoso & Virtuoso-XL
- Cadence Layout Suite (XL/GXL)
- Strong experience working on larger block-level and top hierarchical designs, not just leaf cells.
- Demonstrated experience in independent planning, execution, and closure of complex layout blocks.
- Ability to lead, review, and guide junior team members.
- Strong problemsolving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Hyderabad.
Good to Have
- Prior experience leading or managing a team of layout engineers.
- Familiarity with Micron flows and methodology (preferred but not mandatory).
- Exposure to automation, scripting, or flow optimization is a plus.
- Experience in project planning, effort estimation, and risk management.
