About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on
Assistant Manager Manufacturing / Production to support the end-to-end production of molecular diagnostic kits. The role requires strong expertise in molecular biology workflows, quality assurance, and production monitoring within a regulated laboratory/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Production & Manufacturing Oversight
- Monitor and supervise the manufacturing of molecular diagnostic kits.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee production batch documentation and batch release QA.
- Support scale-up, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Control & Quality Assurance
- Perform and oversee QC and QA activities across production workflows.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, documentation, and regulatory guidelines.
- Review production records and investigate deviations or non-conformities.
Reagent & Material Management
- Maintain reagent stability programs and perform periodic evaluation.
- Manage reference material inventory and documentation.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and traceability of production materials.
Troubleshooting & Process Support
- Troubleshoot issues related to kit production, assay performance, and workflows.
- Work closely with R&D and Quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Identify risks and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Lab & Biosafety Management
- Maintain infection control practices and microbial flora standards in the production environment.
- Ensure laboratory safety, hygiene, and compliance with biosafety guidelines.
Required Skills & Expertise- Strong understanding of Molecular Biology and Microbiology principles.
- Hands-on experience in:
- DNA & RNA extraction
- RT-PCR workflows
- Molecular diagnostic assays
- Experience in QC/QA in manufacturing or diagnostic kit production.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a regulated, process-driven environment.
Education
- M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Genetics / Molecular Biology
Experience
- 34 years of relevant industry experience in molecular diagnostics, biotech manufacturing, or related production environments.
