AM/DM- Automobile Welding Jig Development and Vehicle Quality Control

Job Profile

• DMU Study and BIW process planning for DP trial execution.
• Prototype welding jig concept making and jig development through supplier.
• Sourcing (RFQ, Negotiation, Target Cost, PO) of Welding jigs.
• BIW inspection and countermeasure for meeting accuracy target.
• Sheet metal parts inspection and holding fixture concept making.
• Layout and facility planning.
• Create extensive process and sustainable check-sheets for part inspection and quality checks

Competencies

Essential

• Sound understanding of passenger vehicle construction and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of welding processes and general understanding of machining process
• Knowledge of welding jigs and fixture for spot welding operation.
• Knowledge of inspection processes of sheet metal parts and BIW (like CMM/Laser scanning)
• Knowledge of part drawings, Tolerance stack up, basic GD&T and SES quality standards
• Basic UG/CAD skill

Desirable

• Good communication skill, interaction with internal customer and suppliers
• Project management, execution and monitoring skill
• Quality management system (ISO) knowledge

Work Experience

• 35 yrs Experience in Automobile Industry (Passenger Vehicle),
• Design and development of welding jigs for BIW Manufacturing and Quality Control

Education Qualification

B.E. /B TECH (Mechanical Engg/Automobile/Production/Industrial)
