Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Gurugram. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and highly scalable microservices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions while ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java
- Build and enhance scalable microservices architectures to support business needs
- Implement and optimize solutions using the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.)
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices
- Analyze and evaluate project requirements and provide technical solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java programming with extensive software development experience
- Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and scalable system design
- Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software engineering principles
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Experience with modern development tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and Agile/Scrum practices
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend integrations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus
