Outline of Job Description:

The Air Cargo Control Tower Manager oversees the complete the overseas General Sales & Service Agent management of the appointed Air Cargo products, principal(s), including sales, customer service, system updates, operation communications & financial reporting. This role entails managing the Control Tower team, Implementation & building structure, managing the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and communicating with the relevant stakeholders (Airlines, Freight Forwarders, Ground Handling Agents, other parties) round the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertise: At least +15 years working experience in the Air Cargo industry. (experience working for an Airline is a plus)
• At least +10 years of Management experience for a team of more than 3+ staff.
• Management experience on the following categories is required:

o Strong communication skillset

o Strong understanding of the Air Cargo Airline products (NB/WB/FR - DGR, PER, Pharma, HUM, GCR)

o Strong understanding of Quotations & inside sales process

o Implementing & structuring Air Cargo products

o Managing day to day customer service

o Strong knowledge on Operational Cargo Systems (Cargospot, Smartkargo, IBS, etc.)

o Ensure that all AWB's are updated correctly in the cargo system.

o Operation communications with GHA

o Operational Financial reporting & administration

o Managing the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

• Air Cargo Market knowledge: have a full understanding of Air Cargo Yields, demand, airline capacity for the industry
• Data Governance: Apply strict data governance, ensuring confidentiality for all data, communications, and internal knowledge.
• Staff Training: Ensure staff are adequately trained in cargo systems, Microsoft products, airline systems, DG license, and compliance training.
• Feedback and Improvement: Provide management with customer feedback to improve quality and service standards.

Requirements

• Expertise: At least +15 years working experience in the Air Cargo industry.
• Industry Connections: Able to demonstrate a proven track record of 8 years with Freight Forwarders.
• A process driven person who can demonstrate sufficient knowledge in managing implementation and facilitating structure to a team.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of IATA rules and regulations, particularly for special products such as dangerous goods, perishables, live animals, and oversized cargo.
• SOP Expertise: Full knowledge of the Principal Standard Operating Procedure for the Air Cargo Industry.
• Compliance Awareness: Thorough understanding and enforcement of compliance regulations.
• Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiency in English.
• Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of international, national, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Supervisory Experience: Intermediate-level supervisory experience.
