About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to join our team and lead the development of cutting-edge AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, large language models (LLMs), Generative AI, OCR, document processing, text analysis, API development, and end-to-end deployment.
This role involves working on impactful projects leveraging state-of-the-art AI and ML techniques. The candidate will take full ownership of multiple initiatives from defining problem statements and developing proof-of-concepts (POCs) to building full-scale solutions and deploying models on Azure and GCP, ensuring robust, scalable, and production-ready systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Document AI & NLP Solutions
Develop intelligent pipelines to extract, classify, and filter text from structured, unstructured, and scanned PDFs.
Build and optimize GenAI/LLM-powered document classification and processing systems.
- RAG-based Question Answering Systems
Design and implement RAG solutions to extract precise and contextually relevant answers from large documents
Fine-tune and optimize LLMs for domain-specific contextual question answering.
Develop and deploy forecasting and predictive modelling systems leveraging large-scale aviation datasets.
Apply machine learning and statistical modelling techniques to generate actionable insights.
- Structured Data Extraction
Design automated pipelines to extract structured data (tables, fields, metadata) from scanned PDFs using a combination of OCR, and LLMs.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency through intelligent post-processing and validation.
- End-to-End AI/ML Engineering
Architect, deploy, and maintain AI/ML systems using FastAPI, Python, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
Build robust, scalable, and secure production-ready APIs and services with automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Innovation & Problem-Solving
Continuously explore and adopt state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies to enhance system performance and automation.
Take end-to-end ownership of projects, mentor team members, and ensure timely and high-quality solution delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
Strong programming skills in Python with proficiency in Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn.
Hands-on experience with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering (Azure OpenAI, LangChain, or similar frameworks).
Proficiency in traditional ML models and NLP techniques for classification, clustering, and information extraction.
Experience with OCR technologies.
Strong experience in FastAPI development and deployment best practices.
Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Problem-Solving & Ownership
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end AI/ML systems.
Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects and deliver with minimal supervision.
Excellent debugging, optimization, and scaling skills for production-grade AI/ML pipelines and APIs.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years focused on LLM/NLP-based projects.
Prior experience in document intelligence or enterprise-scale AI applications.
Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or published research work.
Familiarity with R-Shiny, Django, or Flask for developing dashboards and analytics tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams and present complex ideas clearly.
