Job Description

GenAI Pipeline Engineer / Workflow Engineer

Location: Kolkata or Remote

Level: Mid/Senior (48+ years)

About the role

The GenAI Pipeline / Workflow Engineer designs and maintains node-graph and script-based pipelines that use tools such as ComfyUI and Stable Diffusion to produce consistent shots and sequences. The role sits between artists and infrastructure, ensuring that AI-based workflows are predictable, efficient, and suitable for production use.

This position focuses on building reusable workflows for key tasks (keyframes, style transfer, image-to-video, text-to-video, upscaling, repair), optimizing them for cost and performance, and exposing them as services that other teams can integrate with.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain ComfyUI/Stable Diffusion-based pipelines for key use cases: keyframes, style transfer, image to video, text to video, upscaling, and repair.
  • Design first-frame-controlled and reference-guided workflows that preserve characters, composition, and style across multiple shots.
  • Work with the Technical Director to expose workflows as APIs with clear contracts and versioning.
  • Profile and optimize pipelines for speed, cost, and quality (node selection, batching, caching, model loading strategies).
  • Collaborate with GenAI artists and producers to convert creative specifications into stable, reusable templates.

Requirements:

  • 48+ years in technical media, VFX, creative coding, or ML/computer vision engineering.
  • Strong experience with ComfyUI or similar node-graph tools; familiarity with LoRA, ControlNet/IP-Adapter, and modern image/video models.
  • Strong Python and ffmpeg skills for programmatic image and video processing.
  • Understanding of GPU resource constraints, inference optimization, and typical generative model failure modes.
  • Portfolio of workflows, tools, or demos (e.g., GitHub or similar) is highly desirable.
