About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Vertical Lead to spearhead our artificial intelligence initiatives across verticals (e.g healthcare, finance, and manufacturing). This role requires a unique blend of domain expertise, technical proficiency, and strategic leadership. You will work cross-functionally to identify high-impact opportunities for AI, drive implementation of advanced solutions, and ensure business alignment and value realization.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and execute the AI roadmap aligned with the business unit&aposs strategic goals.
- Identify key business problems that can be solved with AI and prioritize use cases.
- Lead feasibility assessments, pilot programs, and full-scale deployments.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with senior executives, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business needs into AI opportunities.
- Evangelize AI capabilities and educate non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projectsfrom ideation and prototyping to production deployment and monitoring.
- Ensure ethical, transparent, and regulatory-compliant AI implementation.
- Technical Oversight
- Provide guidance on data strategy, model selection, architecture, and performance optimization.
- Review code, pipelines, and model performance to ensure quality and scalability.
- Business Impact & Metrics
- Define KPIs and ROI for AI initiatives.
- Monitor model performance and business impact post-deployment, and refine strategies as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor&aposs or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, including 1+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in applying AI within a specific vertical (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail, logistics).
- Strong technical understanding of ML, NLP, computer vision, LLMs, and data engineering principles.
- Experience with AI/ML tools and platforms (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS/GCP/Azure AI services).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, and relevant industry regulations.
