AI Software Engineer

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for developing AI software delivered as part of HPE's AI solutions. The candidate will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with senior architects and customers, and work across distributed teams to deliver high-quality production software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce AI software that will be delivered to customers as part of HPE's AI offerings.
• Mentor, educate, and guide junior engineers on AI concepts and best practices.
• Document software, plans, and produce time estimates and schedules for assigned work.
• Collaborate with external customers and senior HPE architects to understand technical requirements and direction.
• Work across geographic boundaries in a distributed software engineering environment.
• Write, integrate, and deliver software, software demonstrations, and software integrations.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in a related software engineering field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Prior production AI software development experience.
• Experience developing AI software in C, C++, Python, or related languages.
• Experience working in an agile software environment using Jira and related tools is highly desirable.
• Familiarity or experience with HPC is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong technical skills in AI and software engineering.
• Current knowledge of relevant AI technologies and frameworks.
• Ability to deliver production-quality AI software and perform software integrations.
• Mentorship and guidance of junior engineers.
• Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with multiple programming languages and tools relevant to AI and HPC.
