Principal AI Software Engineer

We are looking for a curious, creative, and technically strong AI Software Engineer to develop production-quality AI software as part of HPE's AI offerings. The role involves mentoring engineers, collaborating with architects and customers, and working across distributed teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce AI software that will be delivered to customers as part of HPE's AI offerings.
• Mentor, educate, and guide junior engineers on software development and AI concepts.
• Document software, plans, and produce time estimates and schedules for assigned work.
• Work with outside customers and senior HPE architects to understand technical needs and direction.
• Operate across geographic boundaries in a distributed software engineering environment.
• Write, integrate, and deliver software, software demonstrations, and software integrations.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in a related software engineering field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Prior production software development experience.
• Experience developing AI software in C, C++, Python, or related languages.
• Prior experience working within an agile software environment using Jira or similar tools is highly desirable.
• Familiarity or experience with HPC is highly desirable.
