Role Description
This is a remote, contract-to-hire role for an AI Software Engineer. The position involves developing AI-driven solutions using traditional software engineering tools and methodologies, blending with AI tools and frameworks, such as working on neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), LLMs, and Agentic frameworks, developing data pipelines and enhancing the EdCounselor AI platform. Day-to-day tasks include designing, building, and optimizing software systems, as well as collaborating with other team members to ensure technical excellence and solve complex problems using AI and machine learning techniques.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in full-stack software development, and hands-on experience in AI-focused projects
- Strong knowledge of full-stack software engineering tools, such as, React.js, Python, and SQL
- Strong knowledge of backend database management experience, writing queries, query optimization, and developing data pipelines, etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience in developing Pattern Recognition solutions, Recommendation algorithms, and Neural Networks development
- Proficiency in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and its application to machine learning models
- 1-2 years experience in using Gen. AI - LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and Agentic AI.
- Experience in Cloud Infrastructure, specifically, AWS and GCP.
- Experience with Integration and MLOps - API usage, Vector Databases, cross-platform integration, etc.
- Well-versed in developing well-architected frameworks, cost-optimization strategies, data privacy and security frameworks.
- Having a great product sense and project management skills is a plus!

- Curious, willingness to learn, taking ownership, frugal, being resourceful, ability to develop trust and maintaining accountability are winning factors.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields
