Role Overview
As an AI Robotics Engineer at FlytBase, you will work on designing and deploying intelligent, production-grade systems for autonomous drones. You will contribute to building scalable robotics platforms that power real-world drone fleets globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test high-reliability systems for autonomous drones and docking stations
- Build scalable, production-grade software for real-world robotics systems (not just simulations)
- Leverage AI to accelerate development, debugging, and iteration cycles
- Work on robotics architecture and contribute to system-level design decisions
- Collaborate with AI, Cloud, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Develop internal tools, automation pipelines, and deployment workflows
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies rapidly
Requirements
- Strong experience in robotics software development (ROS or similar frameworks)
- Solid understanding of robotics concepts such as SLAM, motion planning, or control systems
- Experience with multi-robot systems and real-world robot orchestration
- Proficiency in programming (C++, Python, or similar)
- Familiarity with distributed systems, networking, and multithreading
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-ownership environments
