Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and fine-tune computer vision models for object detection, segmentation, and feature extraction using PyTorch, enabling precise robotic perception and interaction.
- Build and deploy FastAPI services for real-time model inference, system integration, and robotic control interfaces.
- Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agentic AI components to enhance task planning and contextual decision-making for the robotic hand.
- Create efficient data pipelines for processing camera feeds, sensor data, and annotated datasets to train and validate AI models.
- Collaborate with robotics engineers to integrate perception models with robotic control systems, ensuring low-latency, reliable performance.
- Experiment with model optimization techniques for edge deployment, focusing on real-time inference and hardware efficiency.
- Research and prototype state-of-the-art AI methods in CV, multimodal learning, and robotic manipulation, showcasing a proactive and innovative mindset.
- Document experiments, model performance, and integration workflows to support knowledge sharing and iterative development.
- Participate in team reviews, presenting findings, demonstrating prototypes, and contributing to architectural discussions.
Foundational Skills:
- Python: Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in writing clean, modular, and efficient code for AI/ML workflows.
- PyTorch: Hands-on experience in building, training, and evaluating deep learning models, preferably in computer vision tasks.
- Computer Vision: Understanding of core CV conceptsobject detection, segmentation, feature extraction, and real-time image processing.
- FastAPI/REST APIs: Ability to develop and consume APIs for model serving and system integration.
- Data Preprocessing & Augmentation: Experience preparing datasets, handling annotations, and using tools like OpenCV for image manipulation.
- Version Control (Git): Familiarity with Git for collaborative coding and project tracking.
- Robotics Interest: Enthusiasm for robotics, mechatronics, or embodied AI, with curiosity about hardware-software integration.
- Learning Agility: Eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and research concepts quickly and independently.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical approach to debugging, experimentation, and iterative improvement.
Advanced Skills (Preferred):
- Object Detection & Segmentation Frameworks: Experience with YOLO, Mask R-CNN, Detectron2, or MMDetection.
- RAG & Agentic AI Tools: Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or autonomous agent architectures.
- Camera & Sensor Integration: Familiarity with working camera systems (USB, IP, RealSense) and sensor data processing.
- Model Optimization: Basic knowledge of quantization, pruning, ONNX/TensorRT conversion, or edge deployment.
- Cloud/Edge Deployment: Awareness of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud AI services (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Robotics Middleware: Basic knowledge of ROS2 or similar robotic communication frameworks.
