Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Product Manager with 3-7 years of experience to drive the definition and delivery of AI-powered features at TartanHQ. This role combines product management excellence with AI-first thinking. You will lead the strategy for our AI layer, ensuring AI features deliver measurable value while maintaining product quality and user experience. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of HR/payroll automation through intelligent products.

PRD delivery: 3 per sprintSprint spillover:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Your week includes: designing AI-powered workflows and user experiences, writing PRDs for AI features, collaborating with data scientists on model requirements, sprint planning and reviews, analyzing AI feature performance metrics, managing stakeholder expectations around AI capabilities, and conducting user research on AI features. You'll balance product excellence with AI innovation.
Core Responsibilities
AI Product Definition & Execution (55% time allocation)
Define AI feature requirements with clear value propositionsWrite PRDs for AI-powered workflows and automationsDeliver 3 high-quality PRDs per sprintWork with data scientists to define model requirementsEnsure AI features integrate seamlessly with productOwn sprint execution for AI features with
Ensure 95%+ bug discovery during UAT
- Client Experience & Quality (20% time allocation)
- Monitor AI feature adoption and user feedback
- Provide RCA within 24 hours for critical issues
- Provide RCA within 72 hours for general issues
- Recommend improvements based on usage patterns
- Deliver 1 feature improvement per sprint
AI Innovation & Growth (25% time allocation)
- Drive innovation using AI/ML technologies
- Explore new AI use cases (LLMs, NLP, predictive analytics)
- Develop POCs for AI-powered automations
- Deliver 1 POC every sprint
- Propose AI-based improvements every two sprints
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven product differentiation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-7 years of Product Management experience
- Experience with AI/ML or data-driven products
- Strong ability to write clear, detailed PRDs
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong understanding of product metrics and analytics
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering and data science teams
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies (LLMs, NLP, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI product development lifecycle
- Knowledge of product analytics and experimentation frameworks
- B2B SaaS product experience
