Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an AI & ML Research and Development Engineer with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience and musthave worked in the field of using AI in Medical Imaging. The AI & ML Research and Development Engineer will be responsible for development of our AI platform Astra that is used for detection of multiple cancers. They will also be responsible for pattern recognition, software development, neural networks, natural language processing, and computer science.

Job Description
- Developing algorithms for Medical Imaging (digital pathology) applications based on current literature using appropriate AI foundation models and frameworks
- Developing proof of concept in your language of preference
- Converting these PoC's into high performance applications in C/C++
- Capable of developing scalable and high-performance algorithms for deployment
- Perform technical root cause analysis and outlining corrective action for given problems using debuggers, log files etc
Required Skills
- Expertise in image classification, segmentation, feature extraction and machine learning
- Strong understanding of linear algebra, optimisation, probability and statistics
- Proficiency in computer science and software development
- Experience with pattern recognition, image processing, and neural networks,
- Excellent skills developing in C/C++ and Python and experience working in a Linux environment
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience working with OpenCV, Numpy etc
Qualifications
- MS/MTech/PhD with a focus on Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence in the domain of Medical Imaging in Pathology
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think out-of-the-box
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in the medical imaging domain is mandatory
- Must be a quick learner and be willing to work on new programming languages depending on requirement
- Must mandatorily have good aptitude skills
