AgentAI is Looking for:
You will join a lean, high-output engineering team as an AI-native full-stack engineer. This is not a maintenance role — you will be architecting and building full systems on a production platform that processes medical billing for healthcare providers. The current lead developer (Raj, based in India, 3 years with AgentAI) is overwhelmed, and you will work alongside him, CTO Kranti Deshmukh, and CEO Zorik Gordon to scale the platform. The structure is completely flat — there are no layers, no hierarchy. You will be expected to think, problem-solve, and ship independently with minimal hand-holding.
What You'll Own
- Architect and scale a modular, high-throughput data pipeline relying heavily on LLM orchestration, structured JSON data extraction, and complex logical evaluation gates
- Build and enhance production features on the AI medical billing platform — not buttons and UI tweaks, but full systems (data extraction, evaluation logic, modifier systems)
- Handle structured data pipelines, JSON schemas, OCR parsing, and API orchestration layers
- Decouple systems cleanly — separate data extraction, evaluation, and modifier logic into regression-tested workflows
- Ensure the platform meets healthcare compliance and security standards (HIPAA) from day one
- Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex CLI) as your primary development method to ship production-ready code at 10x speed
- Collaborate directly with the CTO, CEO, and lead developer in a flat, no-hierarchy environment

Must-Haves
- Up to 5 years of professional full-stack engineering experience
- AI-native workflow — mastery of autonomous terminal agents (Claude Code), CLI-driven AI execution tools, and programmatic LLM prompt engineering. This is not optional — AI tools must be your primary coding method
- Strong backend architecture skills (Python) paired with clean, lightweight frontend capabilities (React)
- Experience handling structured data pipelines, JSON schemas, parsing raw input (OCR), and managing API orchestration layers
- Architecture-first mindset — ability to decouple systems cleanly and build regression-tested workflows
- Understanding of security and compliance standards (HIPAA preferred) — must be able to assess what the platform needs from a compliance perspective on day one
- Ownership mindset — think, problem-solve, and ship independently. Not someone who waits for instructions.
- Comfortable working PST hours (Los Angeles time zone) — the entire team, including India-based members, works LA hours
- High work ethic and speed — comfortable in a rapid, high-execution environment with minimal hand-holding
Nice-to-Have
- Healthcare IT background — experience with medical billing, RCM, prior authorisation, FHIR integrations, or EHR/EMR systems
- Experience at a healthcare startup or health tech company
- Understanding of payer interactions and third-party healthcare data systems
- Premier institute background (IIT, top NIT, or equivalent)
- Startup or product company experience — NOT IT services background
