At Ciena's Blue Planet, you'll be part of a dynamic team pushing the boundaries of network automation. Your role as an AI Engineer will involve designing and developing AI agents using cutting-edge frameworks, fine-tuning large language models, and implementing advanced techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You'll also leverage cloud platforms and databases for efficient AI solution deployment and data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Langflow, and MCP Servers.
  • Fine-tune and optimize large language models (LLMs) such as GPT models and Llama for diverse applications.
  • Implement RAG techniques and integrate vector databases like Qdrant and ChromaDB.
  • Enhance AI agent operations with tools like langfuse and litellm for robust security and guardrails.
  • Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and databases (Postgres, Neo4j, Clickhouse) for scalable AI solutions.
  • Optimize workflows and data processing with technologies like Apache Airflow, Redis, Mlflow, Minio, and Apache Kedro.
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques and CI/CD processes for efficient development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in AI engineering with Java proficiency.
  • Expertise in AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph) and fine-tuning LLMs.
  • Strong knowledge of vector databases and AI agent security protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, database technologies, and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and tools like Apache Airflow, Redis, Mlflow, Minio, and Apache Kedro.
  • Bonus: Experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
  • Knowledge of emerging AI frameworks and cloud-native tools for AI deployment.
  • Advanced understanding of AI agent optimization and collaborative systems.
  • Interest in contributing to open-source AI initiatives and a passion for driving AI innovation.
  • Professional certifications in data science or machine learning are a plus.
